Rajesh Parmar completed his Ph.D. at the Institute of Science, Nirma University, India, where he delved into the challenging and intriguing realm of malaria liver-stage immunology, specifically focusing on the innate immune response to whole sporozoite vaccination. He joined the Reed lab as a postdoctoral research scholar in July 2019. His research focused on deciphering effective antigen-specific T cell responses to the novel SARS-CoV-2 virus associated with good clinical outcomes in patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and in immunocompromised solid organ transplant recipients. He has since joined the UCLA Immunogenetics Center as a Project Scientist, where he is completing publications from his postdoctoral position and actively collaborates with the Reed Research Lab.
